Kick-Off Meeting Takes Place in Issyk-Kul
Last week, 24 participants in the Prospects for Youth Twinning Program met at a resort in the town of Chok-Tal on the shores of lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan for the official opening of the program. The Kick-Off Meeting was the first time that the twinned pairs were able to meet face-to-face to discuss their work and future collaboration.
Over five days, participants attended workshops that guided them through the process of planning their future internship exchanges. Attendees learned about the work of GIZ in Kyrgyzstan and about the other civic and cultural exchange programs that take place across the Eurasia region. Teams took part in a series of exercises focused on project planning, resource allocation, and cross-cultural communication. In doing so, they were able to hone their internship and project ideas into concrete plans that will allow them to make the most of their time in the Twinning program.
