“Prospects for Youth Twinning Program” is a cooperation between the GIZ Project “Prospects for Youth” in Kyrgyzstan and MitOst e.V.
“Prospects for Youth” aims to establish sustainable youth work in Kyrgyzstan and to support a youth policy that takes youth’s needs and their opportunities for active economic and social participation into account. To achieve this goal, GIZ cooperates with governmental and non-governmental partners on national level and in four regions of the country. GIZ’s key concern is to support the project partners in developing their capacities in youth policy and youth work. On the national level, the project focuses on dialogue processes that help develop cross-sectoral policies and interdepartmental cooperation which take into account youth’s economic and social participation. On the local level, municipal self-governments and youth NGOs receive support in their efforts to draft and implement youth policies and carry out youth-centered activities. To improve the quality of youth work, certified trainings and advanced level courses are provided for governmental and non-governmental actors involved in youth work. Networking is promoted on local as well as regional level. The project also advises and supports youth NGOs and initiatives in developing youth promotion activities at the local level. These activities focus on career guidance, young entrepreneurship, service oriented youth projects and employment promotion measures.
